The EU-OSHA (European Agency for Safety & Health at Work) carried out an extensive survey among workers in the European Union, publishing the results in 2013. The survey found that half of European workers feel that work-related stress is definitely present and common in their workplace.
Long meetings, competitive environment, deadlines for reaching objectives and development of projects, together with bad eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle, inevitably have an impact on employees’ health and, especially, in the case of those with more responsibility within a company. At the same time, it is also known that people whose work involves frequent air travel are prone to fatigue and vascular disorders, owing to jet lag and pressure changes associated with flying.

Among the most common illnesses that chronic stress can bring are high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
